All of our employees are expected to be ambassadors of Frontier Communications within our communities. </span></div> <div><strong><span> </span></strong></div> <div><strong><span>Basic Employment Requirement</span></strong><span> </span></div> <ul> <li><span>Communication</span><span> </span></li> <ul> <li><span>Communicate effectively and accurately on customer issues to eliminate repeat trouble calls. Mentor co-workers to expand knowledge, to be self-motivated and display ability to follow thru on assignments. </span></li> </ul> <li><span>Equipment</span><span> </span></li> <ul> <li><span>Display the ability to troubleshoot and repair Central Office programs and equipment. </span></li> <li><span>Install new equipment, software and provision company products </span></li> <li><span>Understand microwave, radios, switch protocols’, architecture, BICSI practices and Copper transmission principles. </span></li> </ul> <li><span>PC Knowledge</span><span> </span></li> <ul> <li><span>Navigate web, set up Business/Residential computer(s) and demonstrate applications to customer. Effectively use company dispatch program to complete assignments. </span></li> </ul> <li><span>Products</span><span> </span></li> <ul> <li><span>Support, install and repair company products and services, fully understand and adhere to 5-Step Peace of Mind Service Process. Be able to explain new services and products to our customers. </span></li> </ul> <li><span>Switching & Transmission</span><span> </span></li> <ul> <li><span>Repair switching equipment in the CO Environment and interpret/modify wiring and schematic diagrams and plant records. Complete trunk orders, code openings and system diagnostics. </span></li> <li><span>Utilize switch test equipment to repair, maintain and install DMS 100/10/1, DCO and remote offices. </span></li> <li><span>Understand VOIP fundamentals and call flow of the GemG8 and Broadsoft M6 technology. </span></li> <li><span>Troubleshoot, isolate, turn up and repair existing and new company transmission circuits. </span></li> </ul> <li><span>Other Requirements</span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li><span>Four (4) years experience in telecommunications as a Testboard Technician.</span></li> <li><span>Three (3) years of experience in switch programming, splicing or outside plant maintenance.</span></li> <li><span>Previous experience in customer service dispatch and/or workload routing.</span></li> <li><span>High School graduate or GED</span></li> <li><span>Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record</span></li> <li><span>Must be able to work overtime and call outs as needed to meet service requirements. </span></li> </ul> </ul> <div><span> </span></div> <div><strong><span>Additional Requirements</span></strong></div> <div><span>This will be a Primary Inside and Outside Central Office and Field Special Services position in Support of Install and Maintenance of Special Services and Central Office Maintenance. </span></div> <div><span>As with all technician positions, there may be the need to work off-shift and weekends along with Overtime. Work tours are based on seniority.
