Job description: GOJET AIRLINES - TRAINING BASE MANAGERLocation - Phoenix, AZPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Training Base Manager - PHX serves as the administrative supervisor to GoJet-employed and Contract Instructors/Evaluators/Check Airmen, and Flight Crewmembers in training. The Training Base Manager assists and provides support to the Flight Operations Training team including Managers and Training Schedulers.KEY ATTRIBUTES FOR A TRAINING BASE MANAGERThe Training Base Manager must be a motivated person dedicated to serving others. The successful candidate will be an individual with a proven track record as an employee who is willing to go above and beyond on behalf of the company and co-workers. Professionalism in appearance and demeanor are always a must. This individual must be a self-starter, able to handle the many demands of keeping a remote base running in an efficient manner. Working knowledge of and ability to navigate the Microsoft Office Suite is required along with good written and verbal communication skills. This individual must also possess strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and able to solve problems as they arise.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Included in position but not limited to
  • Skilled communicator, fluent in English.
  • Goal-oriented and self-directed with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Must be willing and able to work efficiently in stressful situations meeting deadlines.
  • Consistent ability to follow through and complete tasks.
  • Must possess working knowledge of MS Office programs, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Knowledge of Comply365 is beneficial.
  • Willing to work non-standard hours as needed, to be determined by the base demands.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Required to reside or relocate to the PHX area.
  • Letters of Recommendation are beneficial.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Report directly to the Training Management team.
  • Administrative Manager for PHX based instructors, evaluators, check airmen and flight crewmembers in training.
  • Must be highly knowledgeable of all Flight Operations Training manuals, company operations specifications, policies and procedures, and Pilot Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • Support the training schedule. Respond to equipment failures and coordinate schedule adjustments if required. Respond to sick calls and absences to fill in and preserve training events as scheduled whenever possible.
  • Recommend changes to manuals, job aids, scripts, lesson plans, or simulator lesson plans.
  • Assists in the distribution of SIM kit revisions, updates all physical job aids, scripts, simulator lesson plans, manuals, charts, checklists, and other required publications provided by Training Management at the PHX base to be used by instructors, evaluators and check airmen.
  • Audit SIM kits, job aids, scripts, simulator lesson plans, manuals, charts, checklists, and other required publications at the PHX base. Responsible for ensuring the secure storage of all SIM kits, job aids, scripts, simulator lesson plans, and ground training equipment.
  • Report ground training or simulator equipment malfunction and/or maintenance needs to the appropriate party as soon as discovered.
  • Report to the Manager of Flight Operations Training and/or Manager of AQP any missing or damaged manuals, job aids, scripts, simulator lesson plans, or equipment.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with contract training and facility program Supervisors.
  • Provide technical assistance to instructors with ground training issues, such as providing help with displaying a PowerPoint presentation to a virtual or in person class.
  • Monitor and maintain supplies for training equipment.
  • Accomplish such other duties as may be assigned by the Training Management Team.
