Job title: QA Team Lead

Duration: ASAP - 6/30/2025, with possible renewal, based on excellence in work provided, need and budget availability.

Telecommuting: This job is to be performed onsite, at the reporting location below, Monday-Friday, during business hours. Flexibility for occasional remote work for specific reasons is at the discretion of the hiring manager.

Location: 605 Suwannee St Tallahassee, FL 32399

Work Hours: Flexibility to work hours between 7:00 AM & 7:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Rate: $80/hr max
? *7 - 8 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or another related field is required.
? *Minimum of 5 years? experience in developing and conducting test processes for multiple types of systems, client users and/or units across an organization is required.

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Team Lead to manage the definition, implementation, and integration of quality principles and quality processes into the design and development of software IT processes. This position will be full-time and onsite in Tallahassee, FL

What You'll Do
? Scrum Master and Servant Leader for QA Team.
? Collaborate with other teams daily.
? Monitor, track, and report on defects.
? Perform testing activities including writing test plans, test cases, manual and automate test scripts.
? Analyze current quality assurance practices and recommend future state practices and tools.
? Establish quality assurance metrics.
? Manage the definition, implementation, and integration of quality principles and quality processes into the design and development of software IT processes.
? Perform mentoring and knowledge transfer to other Quality assurance staff.
? Ensure that quality measures and procedures are executed.
? Ensure that products, applications, and systems are following established quality standards and meet customer requirements.
? Champion the application of quality principles in business and IT processes through training, meeting and team facilitation, communication programs and team building activities.
? Research, develop, and implement manual and automated testing methods and procedures to ensure that products meet the highest quality standards while integrating with the new PALM solution.
? Oversight of test planning, writing test scripts/cases, test case automation and test execution.

What You'll Need

Required:
? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field or 2 years of experience can substitute for education.
? 7 - 8 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or another related field is required.
? Minimum of 5 years? experience in developing and conducting test processes for multiple types of systems, client users and/or units across an organization is required.
? Minimum of 5 years of prior management experience, supervisory, or team leader experience is required.
? 2 - 3 years of leadership experience with Enterprise Architecture is required.
? Strong analytical skills to determine an organization's needs, develop strategies to meet those needs, and evaluate effectiveness.
? Ability to categorize work, set priorities, and determine short and/or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them.
? Proven ability to build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment.
? Able to easily convey knowledge to others.
? Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, and multicultural business environment.
? In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
? Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
? Strong leadership and proactive issue and risk management.
? Must be able to resolve production release issues across business and technology teams, as well as broader strategic or systemic issues that are creating inefficiencies or hindering progress.
? Proficiency in process formulation and communication to others.
? Influential person with the ability to lead and motivate others.
? Strong grasp of IT infrastructure and application development technology and architectures.
? Knowledge of assessment and analytical process and practices.
? Skilled in strategic planning.
? Skilled in researching, compiling, and analyzing data to report findings and develop improvement solutions.
? Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, and manage complex work assignments and project schedules.
? Ability to research, identify, and implement innovative solutions.
? Ability to facilitate and coordinate meetings, workshops, conferences, etc.
? Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.
? Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
? Ability to work independently and as a team.

Preferred:
? 2 - 3 years of prior experience with transportation technology is highly desired.
? Knowledge of Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools and Snowflake is highly desired.
? Experience in a DevOps environment is highly desired.
