The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) is a non-profit trade association representing all segments of the frozen and refrigerated foods industry. Established in 1945, NFRA promotes the benefits and value of frozen and refrigerated dairy foods to consumers. Our members include manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, distributors, logistics providers, sales agents and suppliers, committed to the growth of the frozen and refrigerated foods sector.
NFRA promotes the sales, consumption and awareness of frozen and refrigerated foods through marketing campaigns, educational initiatives, and industry collaboration.
Position Description
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of food industry marketing and association management. Working directly with the Senior Director of Marketing, you'll gain hands-on experience managing NFRA's consumer brand, Easy Home Meals, while learning the intricacies of association communications and industry relations. This position will expose you to content creation, social media management, industry trend analysis, and strategic communications in a dynamic industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
? Contribute to NFRA's marketing initiatives and campaigns promoting frozen and refrigerated foods to consumers
? Support the development and execution of content for Easy Home Meals across multiple platforms
? Gain practical experience in Association communications, including member updates, committee reports, and board communications
? Understand association governance structures and how committees, councils, and boards function
? Develop skills in translating industry data and trends into meaningful communications for diverse stakeholders
? Experience how industry associations bridge connections between manufacturers, retailers, and consumers
Requirements
? Junior or Senior pursuing Marketing, Communications, PR, or Food Science degree
? Strong writing and communication skills
? Social media and basic digital marketing knowledge
? Interest in food trends and content creation
? Microsoft Office proficiency
? Adobe Creative Suite or Canva experience preferred
? Photography/videography skills desired
? Independent and collaborative work ethic
