Global Associate Manager, Experiential & Content Production

Spotify is seeking an Experiential & Content Production Associate Manager to join our Global Experiential & Content Production team. We’re looking for a passionate experiential live event & content producer that will join our team to implement creative and production needs for Spotify IRL activations, collaborating with artist, Comms, Content, Brand, and Advertising teams.

The live production manager and producer we seek will build off-platform experiences that connect creators and artists and/or brands with their fans globally, while also bringing Spotify to life on the live stage and/or through activations. They will work closely with cross-functional partners to develop creative executions that amplify our platform and bring it to life in a physical or digital way. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music and audio.

WHAT YOU’LL DO• Produce live experiences or workstreams related (for concerts, performances, events, experiential installations) for Spotify, artists, podcasters, authors and/or brand partners for audiences of fans, industry, influencers, and press
• Assist the planning, production, and execution of our live events, with specific attention to the unique objectives of each initiative
• Build and lead production budgets and oversee event timelines, vendor relationships, and approvals with oversight from your manager
• Directly help run and support a team of vendors and freelancers across multiple executions including contracting, budgeting, and payment management
• Build, handle, and complete the production and show schedules for each live event or content shoots
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the production process, with experience working with cross-functional partners
• Act as a production guide responsible for producing small and medium complex executions and supporting heavily on large-scale executions for both experiential and content executions. Co-owning: pre-production planning, on-site execution and logistics, and post-production reconciliation
• Have the knowledge of the best in class stage production (creative, lighting, audio, production design vendors and personnel we can tap into for execution, choosing the best suited for each initiative)
• Understanding of the print and fabrication process for activations with a vast rolodex of partners to implement
• Understands event registration and can oversee and manage the process from invitation to door management.
• Have a creative point of view on projects/productions assigned, while providing pushing boundaries for innovations, fresh concepts, and elevating current output
• Develop and manage creative and production timelines, budgets, production schedules, daysheets and all documentation related to a successful execution
• Can manage creative and production traffic between departments
• Work with the creative team to provide feedback and ideas to improve and elevate the ideas.
• Deliver on time and within budget.
• Work with a variety of internal collaborators to transition the concept to reality.
• Demonstrate an ability to navigate projects at various budget points and a willingness to negotiate with vendors, whilst being ‘creative’ with the approach to events to deliver to an exceptionally high standard at any budget.
• Develops internal and external production decks to clearly and cleanly articulate status of each event/program.
• Is an excellent note taker, managing feedback notes from executive meetings, and can action changes based upon that feedback.

Who You Are• You know how to build brand experiences and produce short form content
• You are experienced with 4+ years of event, content, and show production experience
• You have a deep understanding of translating a brand needs into experiential activations or a visual story
• You care about bringing things to life with a visual point of view and being outstanding
• You have an example of creative or project management work that you can tell us about
• Your attention to detail and ability to multitask is core to who you are
• You have creatively developed and produced live events on a small and large scale
• Production experience, including an understanding of staging, lighting, and branding going vendor direct and not leaning on an event or production agency
• You have an understanding of artist needs and the artist booking process
• Global mentality and experience being flexible and working with vendors and team members across multiple offices and timezones proactively managing the workload and communicating with your manager, team members and partners
• You like to travel and understand that being on a distributed team that drives entertainment production requires odd and long hours
• “can-do” resilient attitude with a willingness to get the job done in the face of a challenge
• You have a strong ability to influence and negotiate effectively
• You are able to autonomously manage and scale local to global productions that deliver on business needs and anticipate what is needed to be successful when planning an execution
• You effectively motivate partners in the development of events and lead the process with the ability to drive the story and creative vision
• You flourish with getting feedback and strive to improve and deliver to the best of your ability
• You can mix creativity with critical thinking and demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills
• You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bilingual in English and one of the following: Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus

Where You'll Be• We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the US region as long as we have a work location.
• This team operates within the EST time zone for collaboration
• The role requires significant travel (domestic and international)* approximately 30-50%
The United States base range for this position is $92,450 -132,072 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. This range encompasses multiple levels. Leveling is determined during the interview process. Placement in a level depends on relevant work history and interview performance.
