Job Description:
As an Entry Level Investment Banking Analyst specializing in Metals & Mining, you will join our dynamic team dedicated to providing comprehensive financial services to clients within the metals and mining sector. You will play a vital role in supporting senior bankers in executing transactions, conducting industry research, and providing financial analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities: Conduct financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and company research within the metals and mining sector. Assist in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials. Support senior bankers in executing mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic transactions. Analyze industry trends, market data, and competitor performance to provide insights to clients and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and risk management, to ensure transactional integrity and regulatory compliance. Maintain databases and tracking systems to monitor deal flow, market activity, and client interactions. Participate in client meetings, conference calls, and due diligence sessions as required. Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly and concisely. Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Prior internship or work experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of the metals and mining industry is a plus but not mandatory.
