    What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Plan and present programs and activities for older adults to encourage participation and library usage
  • Assist teaching artists with Creative Aging programs and manage necessary program supplies
  • Gather attendance, surveys, and relevant information for program evaluation
  • Communicate regularly with the Services for Older Adults team and manage administrative duties
  • Represent Brooklyn Public Library Services for Older Adults at community meetings and outreach activities
    What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Members of the senior community strongly encouraged to apply
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team and meet the needs of patrons with and without disabilities
  • Desire to work with older adults and people with disabilities
  • Computer skills required: email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and other virtual platforms
    How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Bilingual language skills preferred including Sign Language, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cantonese, Mandarin, Bengali, Urdu, Polish, and Russian
