The HRIS/Benefits Specialist manages the HRIS system and reporting as well as supporting the health and wellness plans and benefit programs for all school staff.

Core Tasks And Responsibilities

HRIS Tasks
• Serve as a system administrator for the Human Resources Information System (UKG) for the organization
• Create and generate reports using Cognos to support audits, customer requests and internal data needs, commonly combing data from multiple systems
• Assist with configuration and setup of all modules within UKG
• Ensure the accuracy through routine audit procedures of UKG roles and permissions (qualifiers) for users and maintain compliance with employee data retention policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with software vendor by creating support tickets
• Assist with the development of HR technology roadmap
• Support system module upgrades and enhancements, including assisting with review, testing, and implementation
• Work with HR team to streamline processes and increase efficiencies by upgrading, maintaining and implementing new technology and system enhancements
• Collaborate with HR Partners to ensure the HRIS system meets the customer’s needs
• Collaborate with MIS departments for coordination of imports and exports of employee data
• Monitor HRIS workflow and audit for accuracy and efficient processing of requests
• Administer the performance review cycle and process
• Resolve data errors on vendor and import file feeds to other systems
• Build and maintain data import templates and interface with PVS Teams to coordinate imports and exports of employee data

Benefits Tasks
• Support with the administration all employee benefit programs for ~4,000 customers, including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, AD&D, STD, LTD, 401(k), pension and group life insurance
• Assist in information gathering for the completion of Form 5500; ensure compliance with recordkeeping in accordance with government regulations
• Complete the annual 401(k) audit
• Ensure benefits reporting regulatory compliance obligations are met
• In conjunction with PPS team, perform regular internal audits and reconciliation tasks such as 401(k), HSA, and FSA reconciliations, ACA reporting, and invoicing (includes semi-monthly payroll audits)
• Manage PTO tools and resources, annual updates, pay-outs and refreshes; support employees with questions related to paid time off
• In coordination with PPS team, oversee timely and accurate processing of all carrier and vendor invoices
• Assist with preparation and delivery of annual open enrolment process

Required Skills, Experience, And Competencies
• 7+ years of HRIS/Benefits experience with a focus on data management and reporting
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

What Pearson Can Offer You

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay for this position is as follows:

The base salary for this role is between $75,000 - $85,000.
